Noor was the first woman radio operator to be infiltrated into occupied France and did crucial work for the allies. She was eventually captured and killed in Dachau Concentration Camp. The bronze bust, sculpted by London-based artist Karen Newman, will be unveiled at 2.45 pm Nov 8 in Gordon Square, near the house where Noor lived. The event marks the end of several years of campaigning by the Noor Inayat Khan Memorial Trust to revive the memory of the forgotten war heroine.

Well, what a great afternoon. I met Irene Ward who trained as a Wireless Operator with Noor, photo below with glass of wine in hand, and I met a lady who's mother knew Noor when she was in France. She is in the photo below proudly showing her beloved copy of 'Des Anglais dans la Resistance' by M.R.D. Foot.
The bust is the work of Karen Newman who has previously created portrait busts of Violette Szabo and Nancy Wake.
