70th Anniversary of VE Day - Parham Airfield Museum, Suffolk - Saturday 9th May 2015
Parham Airfield Museum will be celebrating VE Day in style on 9th May 2015 and all are welcome.
The museum is a tribute to the endeavours of the 390th Bomb Group, 8th US Army Air Force & other Allied airmen operating from bases throughout East Anglia, during the Second World War and also the men of the British Resistance Organisation.
The 8th USAAF based in Suffolk and Norfolk were responsible for the massive parachute drop "Operation Cadillac" to the French Resistance in the South West and Centre of France on 14th July 1944.

Grande Soirée Résistance en Région à l'UGC de Bordeaux : Mardi 5 mai à 19h30
Pour célébrer les 70 ans de la fin du second conflit mondial, j'organise le Mardi 5 mai 2015 à 19h30, une soirée UGC / France 3 sur le thème de La Résistance en Région, accompagnée du film Les Saboteurs de l'Ombre et de la Lumière, produit par la société de production Grand Angle et France Télévisions, présenté en avant-première au Festival international du Film d'Histoire de Pessac et diffusé une première fois en Novembre 2014 sur France 3 Aquitaine.
Bob Maloubier agent du SOE nous a quitté

I have just heard the sad news that Bob Maloubier, one of the last SOE agents has died aged 92.
I had the pleasure of meeting him in 2012 at the 68th anniversary of the Liberation of Limoges and within a minute you felt like you had known him all your life. He joked with me saying that the Times over in London had just contacted him saying they had his obituary ready. He replied "could you delay it for as long as possible please". Sadly nearly three years later that obituary can now be printed.
