Late last year I bought 20 or so original photos from a seller in the States that an American Soldier had taken in France during the last part of 1944 and into 1945 as his Battalion made their way from Le Havre, Dieppe through to Belgium and Holland.
Late last year I bought 20 or so original photos from a seller in the States that an American Soldier had taken in France during the last part of 1944 and into 1945 as his Battalion made their way from Le Havre, Dieppe through to Belgium and Holland.
After waiting nearly 3 months, the photos finally turned up, the seller had sent them to London in Ontario instead of London in England!
Here are some of the photos and as a friend of mine in France said on seeing them "Quelle joie de voir ces enfants joyaux et de savoir que les 'verts de gris' ont quittes le pays."
